Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig are getting married. The news comes about a month after their former spouses, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, wed in a private ceremony.
Shue told People on Wednesday that he and Fiebig became engaged in the spring after three years together. "I don’t know how it happened, but there’s a happy ending," the businessman said.
"An extraordinary gift"
Shue, 59, said he "had to accept my own part in marriage not working out for me." Finding "the right person" in Fiebig, 48, he said, "has been an extraordinary gift."
The Forum co-founder said he went through "a lot of pain and a lot of struggle and a lot of humility" to get here, and learned that "the magic of love is when you go from a need to giving." The two fell in love, he said, because they were able to open up to each other "in a time where we both needed a friend."
How it started
Robach and Holmes’ workplace romance was exposed in November 2022, when Robach was still married to Shue and Holmes to Fiebig. Holmes and Fiebig share a 13-year-old daughter, Sabine. Both anchors were removed from "GMA3" in January 2023.
Shue and Fiebig began dating in 2023, after their exes went public. Page Six reported at the time that their relationship had become "bigger than the affair," with a source saying the two had connected over shared values.
Holmes, 49, and Robach, 53, married in Arkansas on Sept. 19, a day after applying for their marriage license. Page Six said it had reached out to their representatives for comment on the engagement.
